Mammoetgras Wereldwijd focuses on marketing, PR, and sales, while Thomas van Heel is responsible for the management and development of grass operations in France.Thomas, 40 years old and married to Sanne, holds degrees in Management, Economics & Law, as well as Engineering (HTS). He joined the family business, which specialized in earthmoving, transportation, and nature management. His passion for horses eventually led him and his wife Sanne to focus fully on horse breeding. They sold all non-equine related business activities to dedicate themselves entirely to this new venture.Expanding their operations to France, they purchased 200 hectares of land for hay production and horse breeding.

Sustainability

During their pursuit of sustainability, Thomas and Sanne discovered the use of Mammoetgras as an alternative for stable bedding. After extensive testing, they concluded that Mammoetgras is not only a superior bedding material, but also holds potential as a building material, biofuel, food source, and for pyrolysis applications. They envision a future where scaling up production leads to increased revenue, supported by a carbon credit system, further reinforcing their commitment to a sustainable future.
